Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Aile Insight ("we", "us"), based in the United States. By using Aile Insight, you agree to them. We've kept them short and plain; if anything is unclear, write to us at support@aileinsight.com.

1. What Aile Insight is

Aile Insight lets you reach your own computers and servers from a web browser. We run the service on servers we manage, and you install a small connector on each machine you want to reach.

2. Joining

Aile Insight is open to a small group of members by application. Applying doesn't guarantee a place, and we may decline or waitlist an application without giving a reason. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into this agreement, and the details you give us must be accurate.

3. Free trial

Accepted members get a 14-day free trial, starting the day we connect your first machine. No payment details are needed. When the trial ends, you can choose a plan; if you don't, your access is paused, and your account and settings are kept for 30 days before being deleted.

4. Plans and limits

Each plan has limits on people, machines and remote session time, shown on our plans page. On Solo, you get 2 hours of remote session time a day; on Team, 12 hours a day; on Studio, there is no daily limit. Session time is added up across all your machines, counts from opening a remote session to closing it, and resets at midnight US Eastern Time (EST/EDT). We'll warn you before your time runs out, and then the session ends. We may change plans or prices with at least 30 days' notice by email.

5. Payment

Plans are billed monthly, in advance. We'll tell you how to pay when your trial ends. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where we end your service early for reasons that aren't your fault, in which case we'll refund the unused part of the month.

6. Your responsibilities

• Only connect machines you own or have permission to access.
• Keep your sign-in details and devices secure, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
• You're responsible for what happens through your account, including the actions of people you invite or share links with.
• Keep your own backups. Aile Insight is a way to reach your machines, not a backup service.

7. Things you must not do

• Use Aile Insight to break the law or to access anyone else's systems without permission.
• Try to get around plan limits, share an account between people who should have their own, or resell the service.
• Attack, overload or probe the service or other members' machines.
• Use it to distribute malware, spam or illegal content.

We may suspend access immediately if we reasonably believe these rules are being broken, and we'll tell you why unless the law prevents us.

8. Support and availability

Support is available Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. US Eastern Time (EST/EDT), at support@aileinsight.com. Studio members are answered first. We work hard to keep Aile Insight running, but we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may pause the service for maintenance, and we'll give notice when we can.

9. Your data

Your machines, files and work remain yours. We don't record your remote sessions. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

10. Open-source software

Aile Insight is built on Pangolin, open-source software by Fossorial, Inc., licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. You can download the source code of each version we run from our source page, or write to support@aileinsight.com to request it.

11. Ending your use

You can cancel at any time by emailing us; your plan runs to the end of the month you've paid for. We may end the service with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms. When an account closes, we delete its data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Aile Insight is provided "as is". We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or data, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Aile Insight after that means you accept the new terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and the state and federal courts located there have jurisdiction over any dispute. We'd always rather resolve things by talking first, so please contact us before anything else.
